About Us

To meet the needs of our clients, Allen K. Murphy CPA was established as a Illinois CPA firm to provide accounting, tax, and business advisor services to corporations, small businesses and individuals throughout the Springfield area. Recognizing that each client has unique goals, we tailor our services to meet your specific needs. To better meet the needs of our clients, we have individualized services for clients in industries like non-profit accounting, professional services and various consumer services. These individualized services have enabled us to address their industry specific challenges, compliance needs and standard tax practices.

Allen Murphy
Allen has over fifteen years of tax, accounting and management consulting experience. He has served business clients ranging from sole proprietors to large privately owned companies with locations in multiple states. Industries served include construction accounting, retail accounting, quarries, farmers, agricultural industries and professionals. Prior to beginning his public accounting career, Allen was a loan officer at a local bank for over five years.

In addition to commercial clients, Allen has extensive experience auditing local government, non-profit organizations and educational institutions providing federal financial aid.

Allen has a Bachelor of Arts in Accountancy from the University of Illinois at Springfield and a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture from Western Illinois University. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Illinois CPA Society and The Greater Springfield Chamber of Commerce.
